Novice Classes
Age 8+
Novice A is for 3rd to 5th grade dancers (8-10 years old) and Novice B is for middle and high school dancers (11+ years old) that are working towards mastering the fundamentals of dance. Learn the basics of the art of dance in a variety of styles no matter your age! Dancers can move directly into more difficult classes from Novice A or Novice B. Each dancer is evaluated during regular classes by their teacher throughout the first half of the year for this shift and evaluated again at the end of the year by the artistic director for placement for the following school year.

In-class and private evaluations are available for new students and current students.
For dancers looking to join our performance company or pursue more opportunities in performing arts, we suggest taking at least 2 different styles. We also recommend taking the same style each year in order to see progression into intermediate and advanced classes. At this age (8-10), contemporary becomes available as a class style.
