Star Baby & Me
This class is for toddlers that are walking through age 3 to explore dance with their grownup (mom, dad, grandparent, nanny, etc.). They will enjoy movement, music, and imagination games. This is a wonderful introduction to dance/movement classes for your toddler with 45 minutes of direct instruction followed by 15 minutes of free play. Star Baby & Me will not perform in the recital.

Starlets
This class is designed for the potty-trained beginner ages 2 1/2 to 4 who has had very little or no previous training. We will learn basic fundamentals of tap and ballet. Students will receive 30 minutes of tap instruction and 30 minutes of ballet instruction. This exposes the young child to the world of dance in an exciting and entertaining way. Starlets will perform a ballet dance in the recital.

Stars
This class is designed for the 4 to 5 year old dancer. We will continue to learn basic fundamentals of tap and ballet. Students will receive 30 minutes of tap instruction and 30 minutes of ballet instruction. The teaching environment continues to be relaxed and fun. We focus more on dancing as a group than in previous levels. Stars will perform either a ballet or a tap dance in the recital.

Flip Hoppers
This class is designed for the 4 to 5 year old dancer. We will explore the basic fundamentals of hip hop and acro. Students will receive 30 minutes of hip hop instruction and 30 minutes of acrobatics/tumbling instruction. The teaching environment continues to be relaxed and fun. Flip Hoppers will perform a hip hop acro routine in the recital.

Ballet
Students will learn ballet terms and discipline. A great emphasis will be placed on proper technique. Dancers will progress from barre exercises to across the floor movements to center combinations. Ballet is a graceful form of dance known for fluidity of movement and attention to technical details.

Pre/Pointe
This is an advanced ballet level that must be taken two days per week. Two hours of ballet classes per week are required in order to maintain foot and core strength. In this class, prepointe work will be introduced to begin progress onto pointe.

Pointe (Advanced Only)
This is an advanced ballet level that must be taken with Advanced Ballet two days per week. Three+ hours of ballet classes per week are required in order to maintain foot and core strength. In this class, new pointe work will be explored as students' technique and strength progress.

Jazz
Students will learn jazz terms and fundamental dance steps. Dancers will learn turns, leaps and many combinations of traditional jazz steps. Jazz is an upbeat dance style known for entertainment.

Contemporary
Due to the maturity required for this style, this class is only available to ages 8 and up. This style of dance is known for its ability to convey strong emotion with its expressive movements. Contemporary dance includes jazz and ballet technique combined to convey a story or emotion through movement. Contemporary dancers should plan to take ballet class as well to see the most progress.

Tap
Students will learn tap terms and intricate footwork. Dancers will progress from barre exercises to across the floor movements to center combinations. Tap is a form of dance known for rhythm created by the shoes worn while dancing.

Hip Hop
Students will explore different styles of hip hop while learning rhythm and coordination. These styles will range from cheer to street.

Acro
AcroDance is the fusion of the artistic motion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. It is not the same as gymnastics. An AcroDancer must be able to complete all skills on a hard stage without the advantage of a sprung floor, while seamlessly integrating musicality, emotional expression, extension, control and line. Skills taught in AcroDance might look the same as gymnastics, but they are taught differently to compensate for these conditions.
Students will explore AcroDance while building strength, flexibility and coordination.  Students will progress from forward rolls, backward rolls, bridges and cartwheels to back walkovers, front walkovers and aerials. All AcroDance faculty are trained to provide a safe and structured learning environment. Come try class with one of our certified Acrobatic Arts teachers!
